MOSCOW, RUSSIA – September 15, 2017 – Delegation of Grenada, comprising of representatives of the Embassy of Grenada to the Russian Federation participated in the VII International Cultural Forum “Culture and Business: The Creative Capital of a Modern City”, which was held from September 14 to 15, 2017 in Ulyanovsk, Russia. The visit of the representatives of Grenada within the framework of the forum was he first for Ulyanovsk region and will serve as the beginning for the development of further bilateral cooperation.
Representatives from creative cities of UNESCO and cultural capitals of Europe took part in the business program of the VII International Cultural Forum, delegations from Germany, Great Britain, Spain, Denmark, Greece, Grenada, Estonia and Ireland, realized the task of recognizing the region outside its borders through partnership in projects humanitarian cooperation. The participants of the plenary meeting of the IFF2017 were Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky, heads of the Presidential Center B.N. Yeltsin in Yekaterinburg, as well as representatives of Moscow and St. Petersburg cultural institutions.
The International Cultural Forum in Ulyanovsk is a place where the best practices in cultural activities and management of cultural processes are exchanged, the identification of new developments in cultural policy, and discussions that change attitudes towards contemporary cultural phenomena. Since 2013, the International Cultural Forum is held under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
