Ambassador Firer attended the 5th Annual United Nations ( UN75 2020 and beyond) Green Recovery of the Global Economy Ambassador’s Dinner hosted by Viacheslav Fetisov, featuring H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
For the fifth year in a row, Viacheslav Fetisov, United Nations’ Environment Programme (UNEP) National Goodwill Ambassador for Russia hosted a dinner of ambassadors in Moscow. Representatives of the diplomatic corps of foreign states discussed the most pressing environmental problems in the world.
This year’s dinner was held at Moscow’s Don David park-restaurant in Dolgoprudny, with the participation of representatives of 30 countries (13 ambassadors), as part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations. The theme of the event was the “Green Recovery of the Global Economy”.
Mr. Fetisov commented, “The international community should unite under the auspices of the UN, putting aside conflicts and striving for momentary benefits for the sake of saving the environment in order to avoid a global environmental catastrophe.”
