Foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Lavrov met with Hon. Elvin Nimrod, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Minister of Justice, Minister for the Affairs of Carriacou and Petite Martinique and Minister of the Local Government of Grenada.
Ministers discussed the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the political, economic and humanitarian fields, cooperation in the UN, and Russia’s interactions with Latin American and Caribbean countries and their integration associations.
Minister Lavrov noted, “very nice to have this brief opportunity on the margins of the General Assembly.
We value our relations, both bilateral and in the context of our cooperation with CARICOM and other regional groupings.
We appreciate your decision to resume the work of your embassy in Moscow. We know that you don’t have too many embassies abroad, and the fact that Russia is one of the few countries is really very, very pleasant.”
