Citizens of Grenada are able to travel to Moldova visa-free

MOSCOW, RUSSIA, October 17, 2019 – The Law of the Republic of Moldova no. 257 adopted on November 11, 2013, listing the countries whose nationals must be in possession of visas when entering the Republic of Moldova and whose national are exempt from that requirement, has been amended.

In accordance with the amendments, citizens of Grenada are exempted from the visa requirement to enter into, exit from, transit through and stay temporary in the territory of the Republic of Moldova for a period not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

Grenada Established Diplomatic Relations with the Republic of Moldova

MOSCOW, RUSSIA, July 2, 2019– Grenada has formally established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Moldova.

Protocol on the establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries was signed in Moscow on Wednesday June 26, 2019.

Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary H.E. Mr. Oleg Firer and H.E. Mr. Andrei Neguta signed on behalf of the governments of Grenada and the Republic of Moldova respectively.

“Grenada and the Republic of Moldova, desirous to promote mutual understanding and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the two countries, guided by the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter and international law, have decided to establish diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level,” the protocol reads.

The ambassadors discussed economic and cultural development of both countries and the possibilities for further cooperation in other areas including tourism.

The diplomats agreed to actively explore cooperation between both countries including cultural exchanges and bilateral visa waiver.
